PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Cashier is responsible for supporting the Finance Department through the efficient management of petty cash transactions, preparing and maintaining accurate financial documentation, processing payment requests, and ensuring proper filing and record-keeping in line with ADRA Timor-Leste policies and procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Petty Cash Management: Manage petty cash transactions, ensuring all payments are properly authorized, recorded, and supported with complete documentation.

Record Keeping: Maintain accurate petty cash records and regularly update balances for management and project use.

Replenishment Requests: Prepare petty cash replenishment requests and ensure all vouchers, receipts, and supporting documents are complete and correct.

Financial Reconciliation: Conduct regular petty cash reconciliations and assist with surprise cash counts when required.

Reporting: Prepare weekly petty cash reports and submit them to the Finance Director or designated supervisor on time.

Payment Processing: Prepare and process payment requests with proper approvals, documentation, and budget references.

Administrative Support: Assist with scanning, photocopying, labeling, classification, and archiving of documents.

Data Entry: Support data entry for finance and administrative records with accuracy and timeliness.

Filing & Confidentiality: Maintain an organized and up-to-date filing system for all financial and administrative documents, ensuring strict confidentiality of financial information and secure document storage.

General Duties: Perform other finance and administrative duties as assigned by the supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
Education:
-
Minimum Secondary School Certificate (High School Diploma) or equivalent.
Experience & Skills:
-
At least 1 year of experience in administration or a related field.

Basic understanding of administrative and financial procedures.

Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to meet strict deadlines.

High level of integrity and ability to maintain strict confidentiality.

Good knowledge of MS Office (specifically Word, Excel, etc.).
