Key Responsibilities

Reporting directly to the Electro-mechanical Design Lead Engineer, you will:

  • Execute Detailed Designs: Carry out mechanical engineering designs for buildings including schools, clinics, shelters, and warehouses using CAD and specialized design software.

  • Prepare Tender Documents: Contribute to the creation of special specifications and descriptions for the Bill of Quantities (BoQs).

  • Innovate & Green: Search for emerging technologies and materials to incorporate cost-effective, reliable, and sustainable "green" elements into designs.

  • Technical Advising: Provide expert assessments, write comprehensive inspection reports, and offer remediation plans for Agency premises.

  • Field Support: Coordinate closely with Construction teams to resolve design issues and accurately update as-built drawings.

  • Manage Consultants: Assist in drafting Terms of Reference (ToRs) and supervise external consultants to ensure compliance with Agency standards.

Who We Are Looking For (Requirements)

Education

  • A university degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university or institution.

Work Experience

  • Minimum of four (4) years of relevant professional experience, with at least two (2) years dedicated to the design of public buildings and developmental projects.

  • Proficiency in mechanical design software and computer-aided design (AutoCAD) is required.

  • Knowledge of modern environmental "greening" approaches and safety compliance is highly desirable.

Languages

  • Fluency (UN Level II) in both English and Arabic is required across reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary: JD 919.80 monthly plus a 60% Special Occupation Allowance (SOA).

  • Benefits: Monthly Provident Fund contribution (15.4% from the Agency), compulsory medical insurance, and dependency allowance (if applicable).

  • Leave Package: 30 days of annual leave, 2 days of sick leave per month, 14 weeks of maternity leave, and 2 weeks of paternity leave.
